As local media was trudging through the undergrowth and seemingly uninhabited woodlands of High Point while campers were eating, they came upon the strangest form of habitation in a clearing upon a hill. Are they tepees or some sort of huts made of sticks? And why does this one in particular have our state name across the front door? Perhaps this is a testing ground for new types of eco-friendly housing for Virginians. Something about the way that random towels and shoes have been flung about the place suggests that males inhabit this space. Local media has decided to dub these intriguing wood dwellings as “A-Frames” and will be on the lookout for small boy campers swinging through the trees to get to their homes.

Quick Tip!
Older posts that maybe you've already read are often modified and added to! As the week goes on, some of the older posts will have videos, pictures, and links to other videos added to them as they have become available or been edited. So go back to those favorite blog posts and see if there's anything new!
Quick Tips!
Only about six or so blog posts will fit on the main "home" page before they drop out of sight, however, they are not gone!
You will see a complete list of the posts in the "2012 Posts" listing below this and you can also use the search box at the top to type in any topic or child's name and see what all has been written and posted!

I want to send my child a letter while at camp! Where do I send it?

Can You Hear Me Now?
Clearly the Verizon Network has never been to HPC. Cell phones get terrible reception!
You can still call us, but our phones will most likely go straight to voicemail. Never fear though! Our phones let us know right away that we have a message and so we just have to go to this one special spot that's been found where we can get a cell signal and we'll call you right back! You can also text us if you wish.

Digital letter writing
If you didn't get a chance to write any letters or you're out of stamps to send your child mail while at camp, never fear! You can still send them notes via these email address and they will be printed out and included in the daily mail. Please do not send any more emails after Thursday evening as there will not be another opportunity to print and give them to the campers after this point.
