With a camp that has been around as long as HPC, urban legends, tall tales, and rumors abound. One such story is of the many types of inhabitants that roam the waters of the HPC lake. Everything from sharks, piranas, and even alligators have been rumored to roam the waters. Makes local media wonder if this might be THE SPOT for the legendary Loch Ness Monster too, or maybe even the Creature from the Black Lagoon!! Such speculation is not mere runaway imaginations, for there have been confirmed sightings on the lake of one such fictional creature...the BLOB...yes, we do indeed have confirmed sightings of the rather large inanimate object made reference to in old sci-fi movies of days gone by.
